The first of the square peg projects that have been conducted involved our local community, but most importantly- its youth. The project started when the owner of Square Peg, Melody Gomez, wanted to reach out to local youth and possibly start raising funds and awareness for upcoming projects. A booth was set up at the Art Market downtown where volunteers reached out to many youth members about sharing their talents in a talent show for the organization. The talent show was aimed at giving youth the confidence to show themselves to the world. With their help, we raised the fund to file for our 501(c)(3)!
